Sen Teaching Assistant

Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Cornwall Teaching Personnel Truro are currently looking for Teaching Assistants who have a passion for supporting children and young people in Special Education settings.

We have a variety of schools in the area in need of temporary, full time and part time members of staff.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who has experience working within a Special Education setting and has a passion to further this experience.

You can expect the following:

• Supporting children within the class
• Supporting children with SEN ranging from mild to severe
• Building relationships between yourself and the pupils
• Working with small groups of children
• Working with children on a 1:1/2:1 basis
• Undertaking tasks set by the class teacher
• To hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one
• Be confident working within small groups and 1:1/2:1
• A passion working with children and young people in SEN settings
• Have Team Teach/MAPPA/CPI training (However this is not essential)
• Relevant experience working with children and young people with special educational needs
