1st Line Support Engineer / Data Centre / Cabling / Racking & Stacking / Fibre / Copper /

Location: Amsterdam

Salary: Circa €40,000 per year + benefits

Permanent

Mon-Fri position normal working hours with a requirement to join the on-call support rota longer term.

Responsibilities / Essential Skills

  • Assist with deployment and support data centre Infrastructures
  • Assist with maintaining and reacting to established monitoring, and ticketing systems
  • Work collaboratively with other in-house data centre engineers and customer if/when requested
  • Assist with ICT projects to better support and manage the data centre
  • Assisting with data centre infrastructure growth projects and external teams for the installation of new data centre equipment
  • Assist with maintaining data hall security within the data centre environment
  • Complying with Health and Safety within the data centre environment/complex
  • Escorting/supervising third party vendors within data centre
  • Assist with Managing & Service Tickets / Requests
  • Assist with Installation & decommissioning of new/redundant equipment and copper/fibre cabling
  • Assist with copper and fibre networks cable testing and cross connect installations
  • Low level network device configuration (Management Layer)
  • Working with customers media and responsible for the support and processing of it
  • Assisting with the support within DC Operations
  • Assistance with maintaining and updating ICT documentation as required
  • Complying with risk management in data centre environment.
  • Assisting with asset Management/ICT audit tasks when required
  • Adherence with compliance with information security standards (Infosec)
  • Assist with other works that are DC related when required
