About the Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for statutory reporting, tax and financial accounting requirements. You will also have 6 Management Accountants as a direct report.

Key Duties of the Finance Manager

  • Management of UK based Management Accountants and ensure timely production of Management Accounts, Financial Statements and Board Pack information.
  • Ensure monthly processes are followed while also reviewing and implementing improvements as required.
  • Preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts in Excel format to enable comparison and review with External advisers. Preparation of formal statutory accounts as necessary.
  • Review of Group Consolidated accounts workings provided by Mazars.
  • Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of Group reporting for a number of Group subsidiaries located in UK, Europe and Rest of World.
  • Review of all subsidiary tax reconciliations.Ensure adequate tax payments are being made and on time.ensure proper compliance with all regulations and ensure reconciliation between Tax Authority and SAP is complete.
  • Manage the completion of UK tax packs for UK tax advisers.
  • Providing support to Group FC / FD for all tax modelling including Patent Box and Transfer pricing.
  • Ensure timely completion of annual budgets and quarterly forecasting by the Management Accountants team.
  • Key contact for external audit. Lead the Group audit process and ensure timely completion of audit deliverables by the Management Accountants team.
  • Preparation of statutory reporting within deadlines
  • Calculation and payment of UK tax payments on time
  • Compliance with UK tax regulations Manage UK VAT and Intrastat reporting to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Management of European VAT compliance to ensure harmony between European countries.
  • Monitor team development and training needs.
  • Provided necessary support to the Financial Controller and Financial Director when required.

Skills Required :

  • Must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Accounting and Finance Business Degree (Desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Finance Environment
