Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Role Description

There is one role open at present which is full-time and office based for a Part 2 Architectural Assistant. The Architectural Assistant will be responsible for feasibility studies drawing, planning applications, technical drawings and contract administration. Additionally, the Architectural Assistant will be responsible for creating presentations and assisting with other day-to-day tasks associated with architecture projects.

The role will involve working on a series of small to medium scale residential and mixed use projects, where the successful candidate will be expected to run between 3-5 projects at any one time, varying in scale from £200k - £5M.

Only applicants based in the UK and Ireland will be considered. Candidates must have experience with UK/Ireland in the residential sector, please do not apply if you do not have UK/Ireland experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Stages 1-4 demonstrated in portfolio
  • SketchUP and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microstation ideally but not essential.
  • Relevant UK based sector experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly personality with team player attitude
  • Familiar with UK Building Regulations and Planning Applications
  • Have capacity to work on their own and run projects
  • Living in the local area would be an advantage.
  • RIBA Stage 4 experience essential for the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent


Salary: From £25,000.00 - £35,000.00 per year, depending on CV and portfolio.

KJC Architects provides bespoke design services for its clients, utilizing the years of experience on residential projects to execute excellent architecture. The office is a family run practice, which prides itself on learning as a team.


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - 9:00-5:30

Experience:

  • UK Architecture: 1 year (preferred)
  • Architecture: 2 years (required)
