Role: General Ledger Accountant Contract: Fixed term 6 months contract

Salary : £competitive per annum Location: South Manchester & working from home (hybrid) This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work for a leading organisation based in Sales, South Manchester.

Responsibilities :

  • Producing weekly Flash reporting on revenue and cost of sales of mainly MSP & RPO accounts
  • Responsible for monthly closing of revenue and cost of sales (GP Reports) of mainly MSP & RPO accounts
  • Inter-company account control
  • Preparation and posting of accrual journals, monthly closing journals
  • Processing of ad-hoc general journals
  • Accurate and timely reporting to the business
  • Nominal ledger reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly accounts to profit and loss and balance sheet
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with drawing up of balance sheets
  • Reconciliation of control accounts - investigation/clearing of unreconciled items
  • Assisting with the consolidation of accounts and report pack
  • Assisting with audit procedures and processes and strategic initiatives Ideal experience required for this role: Part or fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Accountant Management and Financial Accountancy experience Ability to liaise with people at all levels within the business Organized and methodical in approach with keen attention to details Ability to prioritise workloads, works well both autonomously and as part of a team Strong communication skills Ability to work in a fast paced / agile environment Excellent IT systems knowledge and experience - Advanced in Excel Working knowledge of Access, Dimensions accounting systems, Tempest and Fieldglass is desirable Exposure to/experience of working with SOX or other compliance procedures Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
