Job summary Our tier 1 Water sector contractor client are looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Hampton with hybrid working available on their Thames Water framework. Key skills required for this role Senior Quantity Surveyor, Water, Infrastructure, Non infrastructure, Utilities, NEC3 Important Water sector experience is desirable Job description Our tier 1 Water sector contractor client are looking to strengthen their Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Hampton with hybrid working available on their Thames Water framework.You will report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and you will be expected to take responsibility for the Commercial Management of Projects with a combined value of £10m which is heavily subcontractor delivered. The role will have support from a graduate QS also.Responsibilities Quantity surveying duties in respect of managing projects and work packagesLiaise with design, construction and supply chain teams to capture, analyse and control costCollaborative work with the client to ensure business requirements are metManage the main contract ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary Preparation and issue of subcontract documentation Assist in the management and performance of subcontractorsManage the preparation and agreement of applications for payment The preparation of project cost & value reports, budgets and forecasts. Assist in the management and development of junior commercial staffEnsure your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups, to stay current on industry changes and innovations. Maintain a positive and solution oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role Skills/experience/qualifications Degree or equivalentWorking towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institutionExperience in utilities/civil engineeringExperience of standard forms of contract i.e. NEC, IChemE Claim management upstream and downstreamMEICA sector experience (desirable) Benefits Salary £55-68k depending on experienceHybrid Working Car/car allowance25 days holiday + Bank Holidays (with an additional 5 days available to buy)Contribution Pension schemeLife AssuranceHealth InsurancePrivate Medical Insurance Share manages this role Matchtech is a STEM Recruitment Specialist, with over 35 years’ experience
