Job Overview

  • Working within the branded business unit, the role is to manage the lifecycle of branded products within the business under multiple brand portfolios from brief to process handover
  • The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency, effective product launches, and compliance with industry standards
  • The manager will play a key role in maintaining product integrity while supporting the brand’s goals in terms of growth, market share, and profitability

Key Responsibilities

Brand-Focused Product Development and Management :

  • Project manage the development of both new & existing branded products in collaboration with development chefs, insight and commercial
  • Ensure products align with brand strategy, customer expectations, and market trends
  • Create and manage all required product costings and supporting documentation
  • Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to commercialisation, ensuring consistency with the brand’s identity and standards
  • Align all key stakeholders within the business to ensure agile execution of branded projects through the launch process

Brand Management and Collaboration :

  • Partner with insight to ensure that product positioning, packaging, and promotion align with the brand’s vision and strategy
  • Maintain close communication with insight and commercial to ensure product developments meet consumer needs and support long-term brand growth
  • Act as the bridge between site teams, and procurement ensuring seamless communication and collaboration for operational execution and new packaging or raw material sourcing

Data Analysis and Reporting :

  • Provide regular reports on product performance, including insights on brand positioning and customer feedback
  • Use insight led data to identify opportunities for product improvements or adjustments in line with brand strategies

Team Leadership :

  • Champion and support the adoption of branded ways of working in a retail own label led environment
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders, challenge the ways of working to streamline the product development launch process to suit branded product development


Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, product management, or brand management within the food industry.
  • Strong understanding of brand development, product positioning, and market dynamics in FMCG
  • Proven track record in managing product lifecycles and driving product innovation in alignment with brand goals
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with branded food product development and product portfolio management
  • Proficiency in project management tools
  • Knowledge of consumer trends and marketing strategies within the food industry

  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours when required to meet project deadline
