Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

Job Details Based at Bankhead Service Centre, the successful candidate will be required to inspect, maintain, and repair the Council’s fleet of assets within a team setting, or on their own, carrying out assigned work to a high standard and good practice that will contribute to an effective service delivery.Work must be carried out in a manner that positively contributes to a high quality, responsive and cost-effective service which meets service and customer expectations.The Person Time-served HGV Mechanic as recognised by an Industry Board. City & Guilds Certificates in required trade and/or equivalent SVQ level 3 attainments. Approved qualification or experience in vehicle diagnostics. Extensive experience in maintaining vehicles, HGV, Plant, and equipment. You should be able to use your own initiative, work independently and as part of a team and have experience in prioritising your own workload and managing your time whilst having the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Health and Safety awareness and understanding to the appropriate role and vehicle repairs.
