Role Info: Executive Assistant Hampton Court Palace (KT8) Based Minimum 4 Days Per Week / Some Home Working Available £37,500 - £39,000, Depending on Experience Plus Benefits Reporting to: Chief Executive Full time - Permanent Founded 1872. Who are we? Based at the magnificent Hampton Court Palace, the Royal School of Needlework is a registered charity and the international centre of excellence for the art of hand embroidery. We offer a thriving education programme for everyone from beginner to degree level. We teach online and onsite at venues across the UK and internationally in America, Australia and Japan. Alongside our teaching, our renowned Embroidery Studio creates stunning bespoke embroidery for fashion, art and royalty, as well as expertly restoring and conserving valuable and historical embroidered pieces. We also offer an online and onsite shop that stocks a full range of embroidery kits and merchandise. Being 150 years old gives us a background and pedigree second to none, but we are also a dynamic and contemporary organisation with students coming from all over the world to study on our courses. In addition to teaching, we run a Studio for textile conservation, restoration and new work for a range of clients from individual families to public bodies. We have a Collection and Archive of some 60,000 objects including embroideries, designs, photographs and documents which are used for student reference and public exhibitions. We also run tours to see our exhibitions and have a shop supplying stitch and RSN related products. P.S. The King’s Robe of State; The Queen’s Robe of Estate; The Anointing Screen; The Stole Royal and Girdle; The Chairs of Estate and The Chairs of State. The Executive Assistant role: As Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent, detailed and proactive administrative support to the Chief Executive. This includes diary management, event management, travel logistics and email management. You will also need to prepare presentations and carry out research as required. This role also includes liaison with Trustees, providing effective governance support to the Chair of Trustees, and for Council and Committee Meetings. This opportunity requires a high degree of personal judgement about how to best support the Chief Executive’s schedule and liaison with the Chair and Board of Trustees. It requires tact, diplomacy, and a strong sense of confidentiality. This role plays an important and proactive role in ensuring the Chief Executive can use their time effectively to meet the demands of their role. Key Responsibilities: + Managing the Chief Exec’s office and assisting with governance and administrative duties + Acting as the first point of contact for internal and external queries + Managing the Chief Executive’s diary and time + Organising travel and accommodation for the Chief Executive and Members of the Trustee board as required + Preparing and distributing meeting papers, recording meetings and producing accurate minutes + Managing an efficient filing system + Liaising with a wide range of contacts on behalf of the Chief Executive + Assisting the Chair and Trustee board on projects as required About you: + Previous experience as an Executive / Personal assistant or a similar position + A highly organised individual + Experience of charity governance is desirable but not essential + Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills + High level of proficiency with a range of programmes and systems + Excellent IT skills + Strong attention to detail Sounds like a good fit?
