The team

The Strategic Corporate Finance team provides powerful, insight-led strategies to ambitious organisations, supporting them through every stage of their business lifecycle. The team has significant cross-sector knowledge and provides advisory services including; financial modelling and due diligence, growth through M&A, business owner exit strategies, and company valuations to name just a few.

The team is spread across our London, Cambridge and Norwich offices and in this role youll undertake transaction based work for deals spanning between £1m £50m, with a mix of corporate, private equity and capital market transactions. You can choose to work from the office (we would prefer Norwich or Cambridge) or home, but flexibility to travel nationally for client and team meetings is essential.

The role

As a Strategic Corporate Finance Executive you will be involved in a variety of client projects of which you will have ownership of the following tasks:

  • Preparing financial due diligence reports, Information Memoranda, valuation reports and financial models.
  • Analysing financial statements, management information and deal documentation for the preparation of due diligence reports and sales documents.
  • Reviewing clients financial models, benchmarking operating assumptions to historical data and commenting on the integrity of financial models.
  • Preparation of market research to support the valuation of companies, including comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis and market analysis.
  • Leading potential buyer research under sale mandates as well as target companies for acquisitive clients.
  • Project management of M&A processes.

The person

You might not have all of the experience below, but if you meet the minimum criteria and are passionate about developing yourself, wed love to hear from you:

  • A professional accounting qualification ACA, ACCA or CFA Level 2 (minimum criteria[MR1])
  • Minimum of 2 years corporate finance or transaction services experience (minimum criteria)
  • Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of corporate finance transactions and related procedures
  • Client facing experience
  • Strong report writing skills
