Multiple Mechanical Pipefitters/Welders UK Wide Hatched Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading engineering firm based in the Midlands and we ' re supporting them in hiring several Mechanical Pipefitters/Welders, UK wide on a perm anent basis.
Our partners specialise in comprehensive pipework and equipment solutions for liquid, pneumatic, and gas systems .
The team operates out of a cutting-edge 10,000 sqft in-house engineering facility.

Key Responsibilities: NDT Inspection Preparation: Prepare vessels and equipment for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inspections.
Mechanical Support: Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance for mechanical issues, including breakdowns.
Maintenance Program Support: Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of maintenance programs and procedures across the site.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing and coordinating spare parts to optimize stock levels related to pipefitting and welding operations.
Workplace Safety Compliance: Rigorously adhere to safe work systems and maintenance protocols.
Housekeeping: Ensure a clean and organized work environment in all assigned areas.
Safety Reporting: Promptly report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
Team Leadership: Offer mentorship, guidance, and training to junior team members.
Required Experience: Pipefitting/Welding Expertise: A minimum of three years of experience in pipe fitting, welding, or fabrication, with a focus on hygienic stainless steel dairy tube welding, especially within the brewing industry.
TIG Welding Proficiency: Expertise in TIG welding, with the ability to work on thin-wall stainless steel dairy tubes and SS schedule tubing.
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting pipework schematics and engineering drawings.
Experienced in planning pipe and service routes that are both hygienic and aesthetically pleasing.
Specialized Training: Confined space certification and MEWP/FLT experience are advantageous.
Welding Qualifications: Ideally certified to BS EN ISO 9606-1:2017, with experience in various welding processes, including arc and TIG welding.
Experience with different grades of carbon and stainless steel, handling various pipe diameters, and working in all positions (PA, PC, PE, PF, PG, 6G) is highly desirable.
Weld Inspection: Skilled in conducting visual weld inspections according to ISO 17637.
Mechanical Fitting: Mechanical fitting experience is a plus.
What ' s on Offer: 18 - 25 per hour 23 Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays - Pension Working Hours: Flexibility: Willingness to travel and work on sites across the UK, with potential future assignments in Europe.
Ability to stay on-site for up to 5 days at a time, including occasional weekends.
