Your new company Our client is an innovative, global legal services company in Belfast and they're recruiting for an exciting position a Company Secretary to join their Legal Entity Management team. Your new role Our client is looking for a company secretary to work alongside a team of like-minded high-performing individuals, working on engagements for large Global clients. This is a permanent, full time opportunity to join the Belfast Legal Entity Management team dedicatedto providing support to our clients. As a member of our team, you'll be responsible for providing company secretarial support with direct access to the client's senior management. The role may encompass the opportunity to take on, among other things, the following key responsibilities: Board related matters: These include organising board and board committee meetings; collating board materials; attending meetings and taking minutes; monitoring action items. Governance responsibilities: These include promoting and driving consistent standards of legal entity governance and oversight in accordance with internal client models and standards; providing directors, senior management and legal entities with support andtraining across corporate governance matters, including in relation to relevant laws and regulations, governance practices and legal entity management; and assisting as appropriate with local, regional and global regulatory and governance projects. Compliance and Regulatory matters: These include dealing with Compliance, KYC and AML requests. This is a very exciting and unique opportunity to build a career locally but operate globally. In addition to the above, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education for this role: Essential Criteria

  • ICSA Qualification or MSc Management & Corporate graduate
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Regular client-facing experience
  • Good commercial awareness, working directly with business managers
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable Criteria

  • 6 months company secretarial or Compliance/Regulatory experience
  • Familiarity with Blueprint Company Secretarial Software
  • Experience working within the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of companies legislation outside of the UK
  • Exposure to Pan-European investment structures
  • Knowledge of US regulatory environment.
