Education Support Worker Salary- £24,000 Full Time Northampton Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity to work with an excellent secondary school based in Northampton. The school cater for 48 students aged 11-19 focus on social emotional needs. The school are looking for a passionate and dedicated Support worker. The Job • To plan, deliver and evidence parts of individual learning programmes 1:1 or in      small groups, including undertaking appropriate risk assessment • To maintain an awareness of safeguarding and making this a priority, reporting all concerns promptly • To implement strategies to support pupils with Special Educational Needs to access learning throughout the school day, building rapport and being a trusted adult • To provide specific and targeted support, depending on individual pupil needs ensuring safety whilst supporting access to learning activities. • To encourage the development of strategies for young people to manage behaviour, anger and frustration. The Candidate Specification • Experience of working with children and young people • An interest in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning • An ability to effectively and positively manage challenging behaviour • Professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Good general standard of education (GCSE Grade 4 or equivalent in English and Maths) and IT proficiency • You will be required to transport pupils so you must be able to drive and have access to your own car Directions This school is based in Northampton, close proximity to local motorway links.
