We are working with a large, reputable solicitors in Newcastle, to find a Head of Risk and Compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable firm, that prides itself in providing a quality service whilst making a positive contribution to the local community. Reporting directly into the Managing Partner, this is an opportunity to make your stamp on a forward-thinking, well established firm.

What you’ll be doing

• Performing risk assessments.
• Reviewing and defining a risk and compliance framework for the firm.
• Propose and implement improvements to the firm’s risk management model.
• Managing AML policies.
• Investigating any breaches of regulations and frameworks.
• Maintain knowledge of GDPR, SRA, and AML regulations.

What you’ll need

• Experience of working in Risk and Compliance within a professional services environment.
• Knowledge of data protection legislation and AML laws.
