Your Role at Moore Barlow We’re really going places and have ambitious plans, but we can’t do it without great people! As a result, we are looking for a Newly Qualified Commercial Property Solicitor to advise on client matters across a broad spectrum of matters, including often fast-paced and intensive transactional work, as well as non-transactional and advisory. Key responsibilities Financial Management & Compliance To meet or exceed fee income targets and to make a profitable contribution to the department To fully and accurately record chargeable and non-chargeable time, and effectively manage billing and debtors To comply with and conduct the business of the Firm in accordance with the standards and procedures laid down in the Solicitors Accounts Rules (SRA), the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors and all other statutory SRA rules and regulations in force for the conduct of a solicitor. To adhere to the HR Policies and Procedures. Client Management and Development To manage own caseload with appropriate supervision To work effectively to progress matters in a timely fashion and in accordance with the requirements of the client and the pace of each transaction or matter To deliver excellent client delivery providing a service based on the needs and requirements of the client, including meeting with them (where possible) on site if required To promote the firm and its areas of legal specialisation to new and existing clients. People Management and Relationships To support other members of the commercial property team, including in relation to all transactional, non-transactional and advisory work To assist in the supervision and development of more junior staff where appropriate and to take on delegated departmental tasks from partners and other senior staff To take an active functional role within the department or as a minimum to be assisting others to run projects To maintain regular communication with the Head of Department and other members of the property team, including in person (where possible) or by telephone or video call To deliver on the firm’s values
