**Job Title: Financial Accountant Location: Weybridge (100% office based, no flexibility on this) Hourly rate: £250-£265 a day Assignment Length

  • 4 months initially but there is a permanent role available. Hours: 8.30am to 17.30pm (40 hours)**

My client is currently seeking a high calibre professional to join their department as Financial Accountant. The role will take ownership of the financial accounting for the downstream wholesale business segment and a supervisory oversight of the P2P andO2C activities.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Financial accountant's key responsibilities will include but not limited to : Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of month end accounts payable ledgers Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of month end accounts receivable ledgers Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of intercompany account reconciliations Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of month end bank account reconciliations Work in close partnership with the offshore team to ensure timely review and close of prepayment account reconciliations Support review and analysis of monthly cost accruals Support preparation of monthly reporting packs and understand key underlying business trends to support continuous financial and operational improvement Support timely VAT return submission and payment requests Support the Retail director to prepare budgets and forecasts Support the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors Creation of business partner accounts To actively participate in driving forward best practice and to provide support and encouragement to the members of the offshore team Other ad-hoc finance related duties

Person Specification and Qualifications required as the financial accountant : Newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years’ experience Experience in Financial Accounting activities preferable Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel Strong system skills, experience in SAP B1 is desirable. Ability to meet demanding deadlines, and adapts to business needs Excellent time management/organisational and multi-tasking skills Possess strong analytical skills Strong communication skills Flexible and adaptable in approach
