As Cook you will be responsible, under the guidance of the Scheme Manager, for the planning, preparation and cooking of interesting menus and making the best use of fresh foods in order to provide a balanced and nutritious diet for residents.You will also order food supplies, conduct monthly stock checks and maintain a high standard of cleanliness ensuring that all statutory health and hygiene standards are complied with. All the while you'll need to comply with regulations regarding Health and Safety Policy and COSHH regulations and to be aware of safety hazards adhering to any risk assessments, safe systems of work, manual handling and lifting procedures.
