Project Engineer

Main Purpose:Project Management:Take on a project management role for a number of projects across the UK terminals, primarily at Westerleigh and ThealeDevelop a wide variety of projects throughout their full lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring the correct procedures and processes are followed. Produce scopes of work, undertake detailed design, acquire quotations and select appropriately qualified contractors, following the company’s procurement processes Undertake tender processes for large scale works and put forward recommendations to the tender committeeSupport the Operations teams in handling contractor’s on-site activities, ensuring they are completed safely to the required standardDevelop benefit management plansEnsure diligent management of change throughout any change to process or procedureHSEQ:Review method statements and risk assessments for works undertaken at the terminals to ensure all work is carried out safely and in-line with company proceduresParticipate in safety reviews, including MARAs, HAZOPs and LOPAs, to ensure continued safe operation of the TerminalsTechnical Support:Provide technical support to assist in resolving issues that develop on terminal systemsDevelop and maintain P&IDs for the terminal’s systemsMaintain equipment documentation and recordsUndertake routine inspections of the terminals. Investigate areas of potential improvement and assess opportunities. Collate & analyse data in order to improve projects.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:The Ideal Candidate:The role would suit a fresh graduate with a degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and a years’ industry experience. There will be occasional need to travel further afieldThough primarily office based, this role will also require extensive work on siteKey Relationships and Department Overview:Projects and Maintenance Teams, Terminal Management and Operations and Contract Companies.
