An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Assistant to join a highly regarded Commercial Property team within a leading firm. This role offers a chance to work in a client-facing and administratively intensive position, supporting a busy team of fee earners in the Commercial Property sector. The firm prides itself on its industry reputation and commitment to developing its staff.


The successful candidate will have prior experience working in a fast-paced Commercial Property department, with strong skills in managing client matters from enquiry through to post-completion. You will be responsible for drafting Land Registry documents, completing SDLT forms, and assisting fee earners to meet ambitious targets. Experience with legal software tools such as Infotrack and Docusign would be a distinct advantage.


As a Legal Assistant, you will act as a workflow manager, delegating and supervising document production and file management while ensuring the highest standards of client service are maintained.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Diary management and meeting coordination for Lawyers
  • Drafting documents, arranging photocopying, and handling post
  • Managing client enquiries and updating client databases
  • Reviewing and amending documents from the Document Production team
  • Assisting Lawyers with billing, time recording, and financial reports
  • Supervising the opening and closing of files


Requirements:


  • Legal Assistant/Paralegal/Secretarial experience in Commercial Property
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines
  • Typing speed of at least 60 wpm
  • Proactive, solution-focused approach to work
