About The Role : LEGAL ASSISTANT - Permanent contract

As the GRAHAM business continues to grow, we wish to employ a diligent and attentive Legal Assistant to review, manage and negotiate various legal aspects of the business, primarily focusing on general commercial contracts, construction contracts (Building and Civil Engineering), and facilities management contracts.

Solicitor or Barrister qualifications (with up to 1 year PQE in N Ireland or a similar, common law jurisdiction), would be beneficial but not essential, as would previous experience within a commercial legal role or exposure to the construction industry.

The Legal Assistant shall:

  • Review general commercial matters and various other legal aspects of the business primarily focusing on issues such as commercial contracts, construction contracts (building and civil engineering) and facilities management contracts.
  • Liaise with external legal advisers/insurance brokers
  • Participate in client/supplier meetings as required including travel to client sites
  • Maintain contracts in an orderly manner and raise awareness within the company of legal and related commercial risks associated with contracts
  • Provide training on contractual matters to assist business departments within the company
  • Communicate widely with all staff (e.g. team briefings regarding company specific information etc)
