Hours: 40 hour working week (Some weekends may be required during festival or conference season)

Location: Hybrid (International clients, flexibility required)

Who are you?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sustainability and ESG Sustainability Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive forward our business impact related projects, working with clients on their sustainability and ESG strategies, policies and implementation plans. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for sustainability and a track record of implementing and measuring successful sustainability and ESG strategies across various sectors within the entertainment and creative industries as well as demonstrable experience in at least one of entertainment, live events, sport, culture or music.


Experience with business development, identifying new opportunities and building relationships with prospective clients would be beneficial but not essential.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sustainability and ESG projects from start to finish.
  • Develop sustainability strategies, impact assessments, and action plans with and for clients.
  • Oversee sustainability reporting and ensure alignment with appropriate global frameworks and standards.
  • Manage client relationships and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead teams and manage stakeholder groups.
  • Create and deliver presentations and workshops for clients. 
  • Participation and regular engagement with industry, such as through working groups, forums and events.

  • Technical understanding: A scientific approach to assessments and reporting, with broad commercial awareness across environmental sustainability and the creative and entertainment industries.
  • Leadership skills: Senior-level managerial experience with the ability to lead teams, build strong relationships, and manage a variety of stakeholder groups.


Required Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental sustainability or related consultancy roles, such as ESG or CSR. We welcome applicants with varying levels of experience if they can demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.
  • A strong understanding of sustainability and ESG principles (e.g. ISO standards, CSRD, SECR, SBTi, GHG Protocol).
  • Experience in sectors such as entertainment, live events, culture or sport.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are valued, we encourage applicants to highlight how they have applied these in their work or studies.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Google Suite; advanced Excel skills would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills are important, and we welcome different styles of conveying sustainability strategies and reports.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet client expectations.
  • We value membership of IEMA or similar professional bodies.


Additional Desired (but not essential) Experience

  • Knowledge of global and local environmental legislation and mandatory reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with social value frameworks (e.g. UK National TOMs, B Corp).
  • Willingness to learn and adapt: Eager to develop knowledge through qualifications, training, and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Drive business development and identify new opportunities.
