Our client is part of a global integrated steel business with a focus on sustainability and innovation. As a leading producer within the GREENSTEEL sector, they combine assets from across the steel supply chain, including liquid steel production from both raw and recycled materials, to manufacturing high-value, precision-engineered steels. They serve critical industries such as construction, energy, aerospace, automotive, and infrastructure.Job Details: Location: StocksbridgePosition: Financial Planning and Analysis AccountantType: Permanent PositionWorking Hours: Monday – Friday 8am-4pmSalary: £40-50k per annum About the Role:As a Financial Planning and Analysis Accountant, you will report to the Project Finance Manager, playing a pivotal role in supporting key business decisions. Your responsibilities will include performance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as providing in-depth analysis to drive business initiatives forward. Generate short-term and monthly rolling forecasts to support business planning.Evaluate and rank the profitability of production runs to guide decision-making.Provide detailed variance analysis against forecasts to identify areas for improvement.Report on commercial margins, offering comprehensive analysis to stakeholders.Conduct ad-hoc scenario modelling to assess potential outcomes and inform strategies.Support the Project Finance Manager in the execution of their duties, ensuring financial accuracy and insight. About You: The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have previous experience in business partnering type roles.The ideal candidate will be a Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to manage a diverse workload.Experience navigating complex systems and processes.Demonstrated potential to progress to senior roles within the organisation.High levels of integrity, trust, and a drive for results.Skilled in functional and technical areas with the ability to make informed decisions and manage innovation.
