Job description This Nursery setting is looking for a fun and dynamic practitioner with a passion for children who is dedicated to providing the best start for their development and future. We work hard to challenge children and provide a nurturing environment to enhance learning to support and extend individual interests. The successful applicant will provide an emotionally and secure, stimulating and safe environment appropriate to the needs of individual children. Also they will have the ability to educate and provide an enabling environment promoting excellent learning opportunities for all the children. We need a minimum of Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare and a minimum of 2-3 years experience, which is gained from working in a similar role at an established pre-school/nursery or alternatively child minding with a proven track record.Role and ResponsibilitiesDuties will include (but are not limited to)• Conducting observations on your iPad for your group of up to 12 key children• Creating and developing learning through play activities with other staff, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)• Reviewing and assessing the development of your key children and planning for the next stages of learning in line with the EYFS• Providing support as necessary to Managerand Deputy Manager/s• Liaising with parents/carers in your role as a key person for their child, by providing progress on development and general feedback• Support for SEN children in your group of key children• Giving detailed and accurate feedback for all your key children to assist incompleting End of Year Reports• Ensuring the safety and welfare of the children and work colleagues by adhering to all appropriate health and safety practices• Keeping aware of current good practice and educational developments• Working as part of a team and attending relevant courses when necessaryQualifications Required - Essential:• Hold a minimum of Level 3 NVQ/CACHE Level 3 in Childcare • Minimum of 2-3 years experience of working in a Nursery setting or Childminding position• DBS check• First Aid• Food HygieneSalary and benefits:£12+ per hourWorking hours are 8.30am-3.30pm for 38 weeks per year/term time.You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks' holiday a year, inclusive of any bank/public holidays that you may be permitted to take, calculated at the rate of 1/52nd of the annual entitlement for each complete week of service remaining in the current holiday year.
