Plant Operator - Weekends

CONTRACT TYPE: Casual/Ad Hoc Weekend Work HOURS OF WORK: Up to 24 hours across Saturday and Sundays but available to work additional hours as required to meet operational needs SALARY: £20.25 per hour on Saturday and £27.00 per hour on Sunday BENEFITS: Attractive pension scheme, Westfield Health, Employee Assistance Programme CLOSING DATE: 20 th September 2024   A vacancy has arisen for a Casual Plant Operator to join our team within our Yorkshire Water contract based at various locations across South Yorkshire.   The role is to support the delivery of the sludge handling and movements within the Yorkshire Water wastewater treatment sites within the Yorkshire area. The candidate will need to manage the control of the plant, adjustment of running parameters, fault check and proactively comply with Yorkshire Water policies and procedures.   Flexibility is key within this role as there may be a requirement to travel between the sites as and when required to meet operational needs. The hours of work may also vary based on operations. Adopting safe working techniques and good overall operation practices are essential.   Yorkshire Water provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region 24/7 and 365 days a year and play a key role in the region's health, wellbeing and prosperity.   The role briefly encompasses the following duties: -         To operate Loadall telehandler to Load lorries with treated waste.         Stock out waste into windrows & maintain windrows or in to barn storage.         Maintain good housekeeping Standards of work areas and plant.         Carryout daily vehicle checks on mobile plant.            Wash down Mobile Plant.         Log product movements.         Maintaining the standards on any stocking pads and keeping drains and gulleys clear         Carryout additional tasks that the operator is trained and competent to do.   The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/ attributes:-           Good understanding of site safety standards.           NPORS licence for a Loadall telehandler           Knowledge and Experience in a similar Role.           Hold NPORS telehandler license.           Good problem Solver           Good level of personal presentation and hygiene           Flexible approach to work           A Strong team player           Ability to work independently and on own initiative.           Good time keeping and willing to work overtime as necessary.           Good communication skills, both with colleagues, other contractors and clients at all levels           A good fit with the Hargreaves industrial services culture           Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines     What we do:   As an established contract management Company, Hargreaves Industrial Services provides high standard, professional services to our clients within the power, port, steel, rail and other industrial sectors both within the UK and abroad.   Our core services include:         Materials Handling expertise, offering efficient and optimal solutions for all bulk handling requirements         Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance and Engineering          Operation and Maintenance of Material Handling Plants   As a Company we pride ourselves on our service delivery and professional 'can do' attitude and we are always looking for committed, keen, professional people to join us.
