It/epos Field Service Engineer

Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

This purpose of the role is to assist sites with the fault finding and repair of IT/EPOS equipment including but not limited to: PC's, laptops,, monitors, printers and point of sales systems.

Rate information:

  • £24,000 per annum
  • Monday to Friday working week
  • 8:30am - 18:30pm*
  • Potential 1 in 2 weeks on OOH Call rota (7 days)
  • £140 standby per on call week + £50 per call + £10 p/hr travel time

The Role:

  • Installation, configuration, and support of Desktop/EPOS kit.
  • Connect and install client software for various networking platforms at various customer locations
  • Troubleshoot a wide range of products in a software or hardware environment.
  • Working independently and remotely
  • Ability to follow documented procedures
  • Adhere to safety precautions.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving techniques with the ability to adapt and learn on the job.
  • Develop, grow and maintain professional working relationships with all stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Provide good quality customer service at all times
  • Complete documentation including Call reports and ensure they are returned with dedicated time frame
  • Work proactively to ensure SLA's are met
  • Have a solid understanding of customers SLA requirement and use initiative to ensure the expectation is met and exceeded.
  • Any additional activity as directed by Senior Management .
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Have an excellent working knowledge of IT kit inclusive of but not limited to; Windows Operating systems, break fix and troubleshooting of Desktops, EPOS, Laptops, and Printers.
  • (Desirable) - Manufacturer recognised accreditation's, I.E. HP/IBM/Dell. Desktop, Laptop.
  • At least 3 years customer facing IT industry experience.
  • Experience in a field service engineer role
  • Capable of working independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent Time management skills.
  • Team Player - ability to work as part of the team to deliver operational excellence.
  • Awareness of ITIL methodologies and best practice.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Background security check required - must be able to complete successfully
  • Maintain all appropriate Manufacturer Accreditation's where applicable.
