Material Handler

Established for over 40 years and now one of the North West’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Material Handler to join our team at MTL Advanced, part of the WEC Group based in Rotherham.

Responsibilities

• Efficient unloading, handling and storage of internal material, e.g., steel, stainless steel, aluminium etc. to appropriate holding area
• Ensuring correct storage inside the correct locations.
• Sorting and feeding production with materials to production plans including assisting with manoeuvring of materials on to and off the machines, either by crane or manually.
• Housekeeping - ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the Departments and Profile Compound are maintained to a high standard at all times to comply with Health and Safety standards.
• Maximise the uptime of operations by delivering materials in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate stock levels line side. Knowledge, Skills, Experience
• Fork Lift Truck - Counterbalance Licence - Side loader
• Ability to work efficiently and build effective working relationships
• Overhead crane / slinging & lifting skills
• Experience in a similar role/environment Working Location/Environment

Hours of Work

3 shift rotation: Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm/2pm - 10pm/10pm - 6am - 37.5 hrs per week

Salary : £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday Experience :

• Warehouse: 2 years (preferred)

• Material Movers: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification:

• FLT Licence (preferred)
