Job Title : Technical Estimator
Reports to: Commercial Manager
Department: Sales
Hours of work: Monday -Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm
Established for over 40 years and now one of the UK’s leading & multi award winning Engineering and manufacturing companies, WEC Group Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Technical Estimator to join our team at DNA Metalwork part of the WEC Group based in Rotherham.

Responsibilities
- Producing accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings.
- Create full routing information including labour and material costing.
- Liaise with sub-contract suppliers as required.
- Input all information into the computer system in order to produce full quotations to the sales department.
- Monitoring enquiries within the company and speaking direct with customers.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Previous experience within a Estimator role with experience in a sheet metal fabrication shop or metal profiling environment
- Experience working on a variety of contracts and quoting from detailed engineering drawings.
- Strong background in fabrication or metal profiling processes.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience / Knowledge of Sigmanest / MRP would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience / Knowledge of drawings packages such as Auto CAD / Inventor / Solid works would be advantageous but not essential
- Experience / Knowledge in Laser / plasma profiling and Press braking
- I.T Skills in Microsoft Office (excel, word etc)
