Our objective is to get, grow and keep people and provide more internal opportunities for growth where colleagues can not only fit the immediate requirement but also have the drive, initiative and the right behaviours to contribute to the long-term future success of the organisation.We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Insight & Value team. The individual will join a team of some 13+ finance professionals who provide tax compliance, planning, reporting and analysis, as well as managing the internal audit process. The role will also include ensuring annual corporation tax return prepared in conjunction with external 3rd party suppliers, quarterly VAT returns and CIS return are accurately prepared and submitted in line with deadlines. The salary for this role is £55,000 DOE, 10% annual bonus and we offer flexible hybrid working model. About the role: The role will report into the Tax and Policy Manager, you will be the 'go to' person for tax compliance queries and will be expected to keep abreast of current and emerging tax legislation both general and company specific on all areas of tax accounting and planning. The successful person will be expected to have a continuous improvement mindset, reviewing all processes on an ongoing basis and making changes as needed. Any inconsistencies identified as part of the above compliance reporting would also need to be corrected at source for smoother and more accurate ongoing reporting. You Will : Prepare monthly CIS returns and ensuring deductions is paid to HMRC on timely basis. Monitor and review of tax legislation to proactively mitigate risk and identify opportunities Quarterly preparation of the VAT returns for submission to HMRC, including partial exemption, by deadline Preparation of monthly VAT reporting Corporation tax and deferred tax provisioning calculations together with supporting schedules.
