SEN Teaching Assistants needed in Nuneaton and surrounding areas. Your new company Hays education are currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants across Nuneaton area to start working for us as soon as possible. We recruit for long term and day-day basis depending on your availability and flexibility. Your new role As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside a classroom where you will be assisting a SEN child mainly in helping them gain the best access to the primary curriculum and lessons. You will be conducting 1-1 sessions as well as small group sessionsoutside the classroom ensuring the child or children are effectively understanding the lessons. Some of these children may suffer from SEMH and learning disabilities, so helping these children focus and learn is a very important role. What you'll need to succeed To be a successful SEN Teaching Assistant you will need to have a good knowledge of the primary curriculum and on how SEN children tend to behave. You should have strong behavioural management and be patient at all times when working alongside children withSEN. You must always keep your calm and be able to work well under stressful situations.
