The ICT Service Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our organisation's ICT services. Tasked with overseeing internal ICT operations, this position will ensure that our technological frameworks align with business objectives to support seamless operations.


You will lead ICT initiatives, from enhancing service delivery to enforcing compliance with industry standards and fostering collaboration across departments to tailor ICT solutions to business needs. This role is vital for driving continuous improvement in technology services, contributing to the organisation's overall success and efficiency.


Key responsibilities;

  • Service Delivery and Team Leadership: Leading the internal ICT support team to ensure high quality service delivery.
  • Strategic Management: Develop and implement ICT service management strategies to enhance service quality and efficiency.
  • Systems Management: Oversee the management of ICT service support systems, including incident, problem, change management, and request fulfilment processes.
  • Policy Development and Enforcement: Develop and enforce robust ICT policies to ensure compliance with company standards, best practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage vendor contracts to ensure favourable terms and effective service delivery.
  • Collaborative Technology alignment: Work collaboratively with different departments to align ICT services and business goals.
  • Performance reporting and improvement: Regularly report on ICT service performance and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Budget Management: Manage the ICT service management budget to ensure cost-efficient allocation of resources.
  • Project Leadership: Leader ICT project from planning phase through to execution, ensuring projects are on time and meet specified objectives.


Required skills/experience;

  • Deep understanding of ICT technology, including Hyper-V & VMWare Virtualisation technologies and cloud environments
  • Proven experience in ICT service management, with a strong grasp of the ITIL framework. ITIL certification is highly desirable
  • Experience in developing and enforcing ICT policies to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards
  • Excellent project management skills and capable of leading through planning to execution; certifications such as PMP or Prince2 would be an advantage
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to address and resolve technical issues swiftly and efficiently
  • Strong communication skills and ability to effectively manage internal customer relationships
