Staffordshire Pension Fund is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its Employers’ Team, working on the legal process of new employer admissions to the Fund, employee and employer contribution collection and reconciliation and online member self-service access enquiries.

The Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for over 115,000 members across 500 employers. Employers include Local Councils, Universities, Academies, Further Education establishments and Housing Associations. More information on what we do can be found at: Main Responsibilities The Fund has seen a considerable expansion in its employer base in recent years due to wider restructuring in public services. To deliver our service to employers and scheme members as efficiently as possible the Fund is looking to enhance our critical employer support function. We are committed to providing a pension administration service of the highest standard, while developing our staff so that they can fulfil their potential.

The role of Employer Liaison Officer focuses on the following key areas:

  • To control and progress the end-to-end legal process of new employer admissions to the Pension Fund, dealing with a variety of organisations at all levels.
  • To verify reconcile and post received contributions to the Pension Fund and to answer any audit enquiries around these.
  • Supporting scheme members using the Fund’s on-line “My Pension Portal”.
  • To maintain bespoke databases, spreadsheets and issue bulk communications to scheme employers via a variety of channels.

The selection process will be by interview at our offices in Staffordshire Place, Stafford, and will include a short practical test.
