Industry and Market Analyst - Chinese Speaking

Job Summary

The candidate is expected to have a strong interest in the technology industry, have excellent analysis skills and the ability to write analytical reports in both Chinese and English, and also be able to convert complex information into valuable industry insights. The candidate should also possess an in-depth understanding of consumer electronic products and business requirements, in order to support the standards and industry development of CBG in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industry research and analysis:
• Conduct profound analysis on business and industry domains related to the European CBG businesses, e.g. mobile cloud services, mobile payment, advertising, e-health, market access and compliance, and mandatory standards. Perform in-depth research on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, and identify key industry trends and changes.
• Analyse information from multiple data sources to extract valuable insights and trend predictions.
• Assist CBG product and Standards & Industry Development (SID) teams in monitoring and interpreting technology developments and policy changes in the industry, and their impacts on the European CBG businesses.
• Proactively align with all CBG-relevant teams in a timely manner, based on business requirements and industry and market analysis results. In addition, actively share identified business risks in Europe, and develop countermeasures accordingly.
• Data analysis:
• Use data analysis tools and methods to analyze the data related to the European CBG market on a timely basis and gain in-depth insights into the data of consumer industries.
• Report writing and presentation:
• Assist in writing and producing detailed industry analysis reports, market research reports, and internal insight reports for CBG.
• Develop high-quality presentations and present them to internal and external business stakeholders, representing CBG.
• Standards and Industry Development:
• Support operations of exhibitions/summits/forums related to CBG-SID businesses and facilitate external demonstration of pilot projects, ensure smooth running of standards and industry activities, and assist in the summary and insight reporting.
• Participate in international standards or industry organization-based conferences to make contributions and obtain data on the latest industry/technology/standard trends.

Requirements

Competency requirements:

• Educational requirement:
• Master's degree or above in business, information technology or related subject .
• Expertise:
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to interpret complex data and extract valuable information.
• Excellent report writing skills in both Chinese and English. Ability to write and present high-quality reports and presentations.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suites (in particular Excel and PowerPoint) and data analysis tools (such as Python, PowerBI, and Tableau).
• Experienced in data management and data analysis. Possess ability to efficiently process large amounts of data to obtain insight results.
• Personal attributes:
• Highly interested in understanding trends and standardization in the technology industry.
• Strong teamworking and independent thinking skills.
• Language requirements: bilingual in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English.
• Travel: Open to undertaking global travel as the position requires.
