ABOUT THE ROLE Due to healthy order books and company expansion, there is need for a degree qualified Quantity Surveyor to support the Commercial Manager in the successful commercial and financial management of projects and tenders. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs with an end goal of maximising the project margin and ensuring delivery of payment whilst developing future client relationships.Key responsibilities will include preparing and issuing EWN’s and CE’s to the supply chain and clients; attending weekly and monthly commercial meetings at a project level; monitoring change control; pre, during and post contract liaison with clients and supply chain; managing variations; preparing and submitting monthly valuations and final accounts; and maintaining contract project documentation to name just a few duties.Within this opportunity, fantastic training and strong career progression opportunities will be offered so this is an exciting opening for a driven and motivated professional to join an award winning, specialist subcontractor. REQUIREMENTS In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will be degree qualified in quantity surveying or commercial management and hold a minimum of 5 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the utility industry for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 company. You must hold knowledge of NEC 3 forms of contract, hold a strong understanding of both pre and post contract work and be a strong user of excel and sheet automation.
