About the role :

  • This role reports into the ER Manager but with direct access to the Group HR Director for support and guidance. You will need to be competent in all Microsoft programmes, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as learning to use other bespoke systemskey to this role.
  • You will have responsibility for employee relations cases ranging from absence management to ACAS liaison. You will participate in case management discussions and coach and mentor managers to be the best advocates of our Values they can be.
  • You will be an integral part of the HR team as the Company and department enters an exciting new phase which looks to combine roles to create a hybrid business partnering role. This position is key to the successful delivery of the HR agenda across thebusiness.

What you’ll be doing

  • Providing managers with timely comprehensive advice on all employee relation matters
  • Effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinary performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management
  • Compose letters on behalf of managers on all HR related issues
  • Liaise with our legal and management teams on relevant matters
  • Support team with hearings
  • Lead meetings where appropriate
  • Understand and implement Company procedures, rules and requirements across the business
  • Provide support when required with the TUPE transfer process, both incoming and outgoing
  • Liaising with unions so union experience would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Ad Hoc project work to support the delivery of the people strategy
