Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Management Accountant within Financial Control at Carnival UK's Head Office in Southampton on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is accountable for assisting with the end to end accounting and compliance processes associated with the CUK Accounting Team and ensuring that prime entries are accurately accounted for and controlled.

The role will also provide ad-hoc technical accounting advice and project support as required and support initiatives to streamline or automate processes to drive out inefficiencies and improve processes and performance.

This role's key responsibilities include:

  • Accountable for assigned month end accounting processes
  • Ensuring accurate financial information is prepared to the required deadlines and with due care and attention
  • Providing adequate insight to the drivers of accounting performance
  • Subject matter expert (SME) for all associated accounting processes, systems and all policies relevant to role

  • Clear and concise communicator - excellent verbal and written skills
  • Studying/desire to study towards a professional accounting qualification
  • Advanced excel skills (desirable)
