Technical Project Manager - Can Be London Office

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a leading UK charity in a new permanent role, with flexibility for the position to be either London Office based, Hybrid or WFH. You will be responsible for delivering the Wide Area Network Upgrade project and future projects may include improving the Local Area Network and replacing end-of-life phone systems. This project involves over 900 locations across the UK and Ireland, and you will be supporting key internal stakeholders, as well as the third-party supplier delivering the project, so your verbal and written skills must match your practical skills and capabilities. Key Responsibilities: - Project manage the Wide Area Network Upgrade Project for the UK & Ireland (UKI) to agreed time, cost and quality criteria - Produce and maintain project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports - Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks - Define and document all phases of projects including tasks, escalation paths, milestones and acceptance criteria - Review and validate work plans of external service providers contracted to execute elements of the project - Ensure that risks, issues and changes are documented and managed effectively - Support other functional and operational areas such as testing, documentation, and training as required - Facilitate the release of the project to the support/services team - Occasional travel to individual sites as required Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Strong experience and demonstrable success in managing IT projects, delivering them to agreed time, cost and quality criteria - A recognised Project Management qualification such as Prince II. - Significant experience of producing and maintaining project management documentation including project plans, RAID registers, and project status reports - Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills - Degree level education or equivalent in a professional or related discipline, and/or with equivalent relevant practical experience Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience: - Knowledge and understanding of network infrastructure - An interest or qualifications in a technical field e.g., Cisco Certification - Experience within a similar sector - An understanding of Microsoft technologies
