Data Governance & Reporting Lead Glasgow

As a Barclays Data Governance & Reporting Lead, you will have accountability for the creation, maintenance, monitoring, and reporting of the processes and artefacts required. This will ensure business Data Domains and Projects are established and operated in a manner which complies with the Group Data Management Policy and Standards.

What you’ll be doing? :

  • Coordinating and preparing high quality materials for various data governance forums and councils suitable for executive level management
  • Working with domain experts and CDOs within business units and specialists within technology and operations functions to ensure compliance to the Group Data Management Policy and Standards
  • Managing data governance risks and issues and ensuring appropriate escalation
  • Creating and maintaining the required data sources to assist effective governance and management reporting
  • Identifying and supporting delivery of continuous improvement opportunities driving forward momentum and evolution of ways of working
  • Understanding, documenting, building and running the reporting required to support stakeholders and decision makers
  • Supporting the coordination of change management activities including the identification of changes, impact assessments and communications with relevant areas impacted
  • Partnering in the creation and maintenance of training materials and coordination of user training for data governance tools and materials

  • Ability to influence and build value add relationships with senior stakeholders and peers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders in a clear and concise way
  • Solid meeting chair and facilitation skills, including materials preparation, high quality minutes and post meeting management

Skills that will help you in the role :

  • Excellent proficiency with MS Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word - able to distil complex messages or information into simple, easy-to-understand presentations
  • Data governance, data management, project management and/or risk management related experience
  • Structured and organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of data technology, change and support systems e.g.; Jira, Confluence, Tableau
