Managing Quantity Surveyor

Chartered QS - Multifaceted Belfast Based Construction Consultancy Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a renowned, multifaceted Belfast based construction consultancy with four decades of experience of delivering property and infrastructure projects on a local and national scale. They are seeking a senior level CharteredQuantity Surveyor to join their busy Cost Management Team based in Belfast. Offering a vast range of professional and technical expertise across an unrivalled number of services, their project portfolio is extensive and spans across many sectors, among others,Education, Sports & Leisure, Retail, Heritage, Commercial and Residential. The breadth and depth of their experience, innovative and personal approach ensures that they add value to any project, regardless of size, complexity, or sector. Your new role Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for a range of pre and post contract surveying duties including but not limited to: Budget estimating, producing BOQ's, preparation of tender documents, reporting on tenders, assembly of contract documentation,cost reporting, interim valuations, agreement of final accounts. Including preparing and presenting submissions to clients. You will be actively involved in managing, and developing, the team to deliver projects profitably and to meet targets. You will beworking on a range of exciting projects across a range of sectors, both Private and Public, such as Education, Health, Leisure, Heritage, Commercial, and Infrastructure and others. What you'll need to succeed Applicants should be degree qualified, and be Chartered, MRICS and have current or previous experience working in a consultancy environment. Proficiency in estimates, methods of measurements and producing BOQ's is essential, as is a wealth of pre-contract experience.A broad spectrum of pre and post contract skills and experience in managing major building contracts in the sectors indicated above is desirable. With excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a professional manner, you will be able to demonstratethe ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your own work.
