Children's Support Worker Salisbury Are you interested in working within residential childcare but don't have experience? I have an exciting opportunity to work for a leading provider of children's services, as a residential child care worker. You will work with disadvantaged children many of whom have a history of trauma, neglect or abuse, supporting them with all aspects oftheir growth, development and enjoyment of life. You will help to provide a safe, nurturing, caring and therapeutic home environment that supports all their needs, and enables them to thrive and flourish. The role can be incredibly rewarding, but can also be challenging at times. You will be there during the good times, as well as the difficult times, and will need to show resilience and determination to overcome the hurdles, and learn and develop in your role. You don't need experience as full training will be given. However, you will need to have an understanding of the role and the challenges faced by the young people. The role would particularly suit someone who has a degree in a relevant area, i.e. psychology,mental health, social work, youth work or criminology, and is looking for some practical experience. It would also suit someone who has some experience in a similar field, i.e. youth work or support work, particularly if you have experience of positive behavioursupport.
