Hours :37.5 Hours Per Week Monday to Sunday 3 Shifts Per Week

We are currently seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker for our Children’s Home in Wakefield with great career development opportunities.

For experienced Senior Residential Support Workers who are qualified to level 3 in Children & Young People workforce, may have an opportunity to enrol onto our Accelerated Registered Manager Programme where you have a fantastic opportunity to become a Team Leader & Registered Manager in one of our homes within 18-24 months depending on individual progression.

We have a number of exciting career opportunities for Senior Residential Support Workers within our homes in Wakefield. You will work as part of a team providing quality residential childcare services for children within a safe and secure environment.

About the job : You will be key in helping the young people and leading a team of Support Workers. This is a challenging role, where no two days are the same, but the rewards are incomparable to any other job. You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results on the young people in our care and the staff team you lead.

Entry Requirements :

  • Must be on DBS update.
  • An NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent or working towards completion.
  • Experience working with children / Young People in a Residential Childcare setting, for at least 1 year.
  • A genuine passion for care and to be motivated by contributing to the progression of others.
  • Life skills
  • Be caring, compassionate, understanding and show patience.
  • Be a team player, flexible, honest and reliable.
  • Have a good sense of humour and not take things personally.
  • Be confident and resilient.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted Requirements
  • Computer literacy.
  • A driving licence.
