Unspecified Producibility EngineerRole Description/Purpose:As a Producibility Engineer, reporting to the Design Engineering Manager, you'll ensure new designs are manufacturable and lead improvements for existing designs. You'll be the technical authority on potential non-conformities, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to enhance design and manufacturing processes, improve product quality, and reduce costs.How to Apply:Clearly outline how you meet the required criteria for this role. Collins Aerospace is an Equal Opportunities employer.Benefits:We prioritize our people with an industry-leading benefits package:25 days Annual Leave & 9 Public Holidays (+/- 5 days holiday buy/sell scheme)Competitive salary and annual bonusBUPA health insurance (including family discounts)Early finish on FridaysHealth cash plan and subsidized dental planDeath in Service BenefitGenerous Employer Contribution Pension SchemeHybrid work optionsMain Responsibilities:Lead Design for Manufacturing: Collaborate with various teams to meet cost, delivery, and safety targets.Issue Resolution: Quickly resolve issues during industrialization and production, ensuring root cause identification and corrective actions.Technical Packages: Deliver robust manufacturing technical packages and methods for production components.High Performance Culture: Champion continuous improvement within the team.Cost Control: Continuously challenge manufacturing methods to control and reduce costs.Concession Assessment: Assess and sentence internal/external concessions and quality issues.Process Deployment: Execute DAR and PCB processes and implement minor design modifications.Technical Authority: Ensure design intent is achieved.Lessons Learned: Integrate lessons learned into methods and designs to improve safety, cost, delivery, and lead time.Production Support: Provide day-to-day engineering support for manufacturing operations.Minimum Requirements:Education: Engineering Degree or equivalent experience in engineering management or operations.Experience:Previous roles as a Designer or Manufacturing Engineer in aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.Familiarity with Quality, Industrialization, and Operations processes.Experience with sheet metal parts, castings, complex machined parts, welded, and brazed fabrications.Strong design engineering background with expertise in the design and definition of complex products.Proficiency in CAD (ideally NX) and PLM (Teamcenter) packages.Continuous improvement, root cause investigation, and lean techniques experience.Experience with heat exchangers and pipework assemblies is desirable.Skills:Excellent analytical and communication skills.Experience in Design for X (cost, manufacture, maintenance, build).Proven technical and professional leadership in a team of Engineers.Successful delivery of projects focused on cost, delivery, and quality improvements.Experience in leading change across a business.Practical experience in a production or supply chain facility in Design or Manufacturing Engineering.Experience in New Product Introduction, Industrialization, Production, and related processes.Ready to make an impact?
