Forest Green Rovers F.C are excited to be recruiting a Head of Academy Coaching. The successful candidate will contribute to the long-term development of coaches and players within Forest Green Rovers Academy. The responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Have responsibility for delivery of the Academy’s Coaching Curriculum, ensuring the curriculum is consistently delivered in line with the Playing Philosophy and Coaching Philosophy.
- Be responsible for designing the Club’s continued professional development programme, using internal and external professionals.
- Provide a clear up to date Training Needs Analysis (TNA) of every coaches current and required level of performance.
- In conjunction with each of the Club’s coaches, plan, deliver and monitor the delivery of individual development plans for each such coach.
- Observe coach performance during training and match days and provide feedback to aid development.
- Continue to develop the Coach Competency Framework for the Academy.
- Ensure all coaches are qualified as per Youth Development rules.
- In conjunction with the Designated Safeguarding Officer, ensure all policies, practices and procedures relating to safeguarding of young people are implemented.
- Ensure the oversight of Lead Phase Coaches to ensure the same messages are being disseminated throughout the coaching team, working together to write and deliver coaching programmes.

- FA Advanced Youth Award
- FA Safeguarding Children Certificate
- EFAiF
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Understanding of the Academy Audit process
- Experience of working in an Academy

- A comprehensive understanding of the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP)
