Graduate Stores Operative

As a Graduate Stores Operative you will be a pivotal part of one of our onsite teams based in Stalybridge and its success so get ready to be in demand. This job is great for anyone who is keen and willing to learn ready to progress up the ladder in fastpaced envirnment.

We support our customers to ensure they have all the parts, spares and tooling they need to operate as well as working hard to ensure we obtain the best deals with suppliers.

The Role

Reporting to the Manager and effectively building and developing relationships with the customer to increase sales opportunities and maximise revenue growth. Whilst also maintaining the warehouse and ensuring parts and equipment are effectively sourced.

Key Responsibilities :

• Source (stock / non stock) items in line with the customer’s requirements and demands.
• Supporting consistent delivery of agreed levels of customer service.
• Processing sales orders and inputting onto the system and dealing with all related enquiries such as stock availability, pricing, back orders and delivery queries.
• Communicating with suppliers in respect of the stock availability, prices & delivery issues
• Delivering unit cost reduction savings against previous suppliers and OEM.
• Supporting other team members with enquiries and problems.
• Arrange site visits with preferred supply partners to help us identify and assist with all value added activities.
• A proactive approach, looking for sales opportunities around site liaising with all departments.

Key Skills :

• Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Self driven and motivated to see each assigned task through to the end.
• Worked in a similar role and able to demonstrate transferable skills.
