As a Self-Employed Driver, we can offer you variable hours working 5 over a 7-night operation, giving you plenty of opportunity to earn a great income at a competitive rate. This role is based at Menzies Distribution Ashford (TN24 0GP). Your typicalstart time will be around 3am and will finish when the route is complete around 8am. You may be required to start earlier on occasions, but this will be communicated on a daily basis.

Although being a Self-Employed Courier means handling your own finances, you won’t be on your own as you’ll join a network of experienced self-employed drivers who choose to provide delivery services to Menzies Distribution. We promise to promptly pay yourinvoices weekly, accommodate your preferred route wherever possible, and give you up-to-date tools to deliver the scope of work, including our track and trace technology.

Although, Prior delivery experience isn’t essential but, it would be advantageous if you were familiar with major motorways, streets, commercial and residential addresses.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • The ‘Right To Work’ in the UK with no serious unspent criminal convictions
  • A full UK/EU/EEA driving licence
  • 3.5-tonne van (Transit or similar)
  • Goods In Transit Insurance
  • Public Liability Insurance
  • Hire and Reward Insurance
  • No previous disqualifications NI, DD or DR
  • Physically fit to meet the demands of a multi-drop driving role
  • Hardworking, positive and a flexible attitude to work PLEASE NOTE

If you do not currently own or have access to a 3.5-tonne vehicle (Transit or similar) you must be in a financial position to be able to lease or purchase one.You will also need to have all insurances (Goods in Transit, Public Liability & Hire and Reward)in place prior to starting.
