Gardener

Pale Hall, in 25 acres of stunning landscaped gardens and parkland, is looking for a passionate and motivated gardener to join its hardworking Estates team. Pale’s parkland has been nurtured over the decades to create a paradise of colour that complements the golden stone of the Hall. With a wealth of species and original features and an abundance of wildlife, Pale’s garden creates a glorious first impression to our guests that gets everyone’s stay off to the best possible start.

We’re looking for a real outdoors person with loads of enthusiasm, original ideas with the energy to drive them forward and the confidence to engage with our guests. Vigilant to the conditions of the estate with the changing of the seasons, you’ll always be alert to what needs to be done. You should be able to work from your own initiative under the guidance and direction of the Head Gardener, and be flexible in all weathers to meet the requirements of an environment when the unforeseen can sometimes happen!

Happy working alone for much of the time, you’ll liaise closely with the Head Gardener to ensure that tasks are prioritised and carried out at the right times throughout the year, you'll also share day to day care of the hotel’s donkey and Shetland ponies.

We can offer a full time or part time contract to suit, over a seven day rota all year round.
