Assistant Management Accountant

Required in: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Role Profile: Assistant Management AccountantPurpose: Support the financial planning and analysis team by ensuring the smooth processing of asset purchasing and managing the HP agreements, including posting to the accounts, as well as general ad hoc tasks and projects as they arise. We have integrity and create inclusive environments, creating a healthy, safe, and fun workplace.Reporting Lines: You will report to the Management Accountant.Focus areas of the role: The success of the role will be measured against the effective support of the following focus areas: Support the end-to-end preparation of Management Accounts at the depot and total company levelMonth-end journals, including accruals & prepaymentsBalance Sheet maintenance and reconciliationsAssistance with variance analysis and commentary for reviewAssistance with the monthly reporting pack, including supporting schedulesAssistance with company-wide budgeting and reforecastingSupport in the implementation of new systems across the companyAssisting with process improvements in the finance department and across the businessAd hoc reporting and analysisVarious ad hoc duties and projects to support the businessDeputizing for the Management Accountant from time to time Success enablers: To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, behaviors, and abilities: Part-qualified accountant/QBE (AAT Qualified)Advanced Excel userUnderstanding of double-entry accountsAbility to "hit the ground running" and quickly understand existing spreadsheetsProven eye for detail and accuracyAbility to confidently liaise with colleagues at all levelsAble to commercially analyze and interpret resultsA hands-on and proactive individualNumerate Education & Qualifications/Experience: Operational System: SyrinxFinance System: Access Dimensions Why work for Lynch?
