Based near Cannock/ Walsall, we have a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished Management Accountant with a wealth of standard costing expertise and management accountancy experience to join a friendly and collaborative finance team. With your leadershipand manufacturing background, strong technical ability and excellent communication skills, you will quickly become the key interface between the Operations, Sales and Finance teams. You will take the lead in presenting to senior stakeholders with the informationrequired to make vital business decisions across all markets and provide ongoing analysis and validation of product line expenditure, pricing and profitability. The Management Accountant will :

  • Take responsibility for creating, maintaining and improving the standard cost model
  • Oversee the development of the product costing system as part of our major ERP IT project to incorporate machine, production labour rates and overhead apportionment
  • Maintain costs for the purposes of stock valuation, pricing, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Collate sales and cost of sales data to produce and analyse business information
  • Manage, coach and develop a small team
  • Attend internal meetings and provide considerable input to company budgets and forecasts
  • Report and present P&L results, KPIs and trends to assist directors and managers in driving profits and efficiency

The successful Management Accountant will have :

  • 5+ years working in a cost or management accounting role in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience and full understanding of actual and standard costing with an ERP system
  • 2+ years staff supervision or management
  • ACMA or ACCA Qualified or passed finalist
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to contribute to business and process change
