Working closely with customers, our bespoke chicken and turkey products offer creative and flavoursome lunchtime solutions, including street food-inspired dishes, superfood salads, hot and cold sandwiches and much more.An exciting new opportunity has arisen due to business growth for Factory Manager to join the busy Operations team at the Poultry site. The key elements of the role are to assume responsibility for: Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed customers’ expectations. To promote, monitor and maintain a high standard of hygienic practice, and quality to ensure good manufacturing practice working within the best interests of the Company at all times. To co-ordinate with Managers the production plan and to achieve the agreed production plan by the most effective utilisation of materials, machinery, and staff resource, within the quality and hygienic regulatory requirements. To fully deploy process operational awareness / skills in order to facilitate provision of cover and team leadership. Provide guidance and leadership focused around delivering of manufacturing KPI’s and increasing year on year performance. To communicate, report and performance manage the available manufacturing resources whilst maintaining good industrial relations within a positive and supportive environment. Establish management and communication practices to include all employees’ positive involvement with full training and opportunity for constructive input and action. To promote, monitor and maintain a high standard of occupational health and safety, continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas. Reduce waste / shrinkage and additional costs where appropriate by always protecting both company product stock and equipment in the most efficient and appropriate manner. Any other responsibilities commensurate with the post. Any other reasonable requests made by the Director.
