Finance Manager, Derry, Competitive Salary, 12 month Contract Your new company You will work for an award winning company who are global leaders in their field and who have a world-class reputation for service and quality. Your new role You will oversee the AR, AP and Trade Compliance functions and will be responsible for overseeing the performance management of the team. You will proactively pursue process improvements and standardization. and will promote and participate in an environmentof strong internal control, while providing leadership and support to other departments. Your duties will include: provide leadership and guidance to the AP and AR team leads; oversee the month end processes for the AR and AP departments; preparation and submission of VAT and intrastat returns, and ensure VAT compliance across the group; managebank mandates; cashflow Forecasts & Treasury Management; lead Trade Compliance function, with one direct report; develop understanding of the companies trade compliance processes; manage the companies import/export brokers; ensure adequate compliance documentationretention; facilitate sanctioned party & embargo screening; manage / Oversee Customer, Vendor and Trade Compliance Master Data; build relationship with external Trade Compliance support bodies, and seek external advice where necessary to support business transactions;develop close relationships with business units; respond to business unit and supplier queries in a prompt and professional manner, working with the business unit accounting teams to resolve open issues; play a key role in AR, AP, customer/supplier masterdata and trade compliance activity around SAP implementations; help develop and maintain adequate SOX controls; performance management; perform other duties as assigned. Will include support of special projects as identified. What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified or Part Qualified with a recognised accountancy body
  • Experience of working in a similar leadership role in a fast paced and high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational skills in handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously with high attention to details and a high level of accuracy

Desirable Criteria:

  • SAP experience
  • Trade Compliance experience or qualification
  • Experience in implementation of an ERP system

What you'll get in return You will work on a full-time basis contracted for a 12 month period. Hours of work are 08:30 - 17:00 Mon - Thur & 08:30 - 15:00pm on Friday.
