Salary : ÂŁ13,067- ÂŁ14,133 Per year

Location : Formby, Liverpool

Hours of Work : 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 4 days per week, 5 hours per day, 10am-2pm (can be flexible on days and hours)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager and team in recording and retrieving financial details of St Josephs site including financial records, processing payments and cash handling. Assist the Finance manager and team in providing a finance service to the whole of the St Joseph’s site, addressing all issues of a finance nature and providing all relevant information to meet internal and external demands.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Assist with purchase ledger cycles
  • posting invoices to Sage Line 50 and preparing list for monthly payments run.
  • Assist with sales leger cycle.
  • Ensure that petty cash transactions are posted and updated.
  • Assist with the management of client accounts and relevant local authority/ Benefit agencies.
  • Resolution of finance related queries.
  • Work closely with finance manager to ensure smooth operation of finance matters.
  • Ensure that the organisations financial polices and procedures are followed.
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Working towards bookkeeping/accounting qualification
  • Good understanding of accounting processes
  • Strong IT, Excel, and literacy skills
  • Multitasking
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Awareness of the provisions of data protection act
  • Clear communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadline.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload.
